This is the most common situation we see. If the prior remediation was standard water-damage-style work — fogging, encapsulation, no third-party clearance testing — the inflammatory load likely was never addressed. A Remediation Assessment starts with reviewing what was done, what's still present, and what would need to happen to reach real clearance. In some cases the home can be properly remediated. In others, relocation is the honest answer. The assessment tells you which.
Standard remediation removes visible mold. Our process is built for people whose immune systems react to the invisible inflammatory load — fragments, spores, and mycotoxins at the small-particle level. That means containment first, full source removal, mechanical remediation of remaining substrate, small-particle cleaning of surfaces and contents, and independent third-party verification before re-occupancy — in that order, every time.
When insurance covers remediation, we work with it. But we don't scope our work to fit insurance budgets. Scope is dictated by what the home needs, not by what the policy will pay.
We don't perform our own clearance testing. Independence isn't optional in this specialty. Post-remediation verification is performed by an Indoor Environmental Professional (IEP) of your choosing, using air sampling, surface sampling, moisture verification, and visual inspection. Clearance criteria are agreed in writing before work begins — and if the work doesn't pass, we return and re-remediate at no additional cost until it does.
Most remediations run 5 to 15 working days from containment to verification testing. Smaller contained jobs can complete in under a week. Larger or more complex jobs — extensive contamination, high contents volume, structural issues — can take 3 weeks or longer. Your written protocol includes a specific timeline for your project.
Most jobs land between $5,000 and $15,000. Smaller, contained jobs run $3,000–$5,000. Larger or more complex jobs can go well above $15,000. The Remediation Assessment gives you a written scope with real numbers before you commit to anything.
